Recognizing litigation prowess across key practice areas and success in high-profile cases, the National Law Journal (NLJ) has named Latham & Watkins “Washington Litigation Department of the Year,” based on litigation matters led by attorneys based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. In this special report, the NLJ evaluated litigation departments in the nation's capital through qualitative and quantitative metrics, including the size of a firm’s D.C. litigation department and the scope and impact of significant cases it handled. The NLJ’s staff examined the data and chose nine leading firms, with Latham topping the list.
In the article, the NLJ states, “Whether arguing before the U.S. Supreme Court or a municipal judge, litigators from Latham & Watkins last year came out on top in high-stakes fights across the board.”
This recognition reinforces Latham’s profile as the leading law firm in Washington for the most complex and challenging litigation matters.
