The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) has appointed Latham & Watkins partner Ing Loong Yang to serve on the organization’s governing body. He joins a select group of private practitioners, arbitrators, and in-house counsel from diverse jurisdictions who advise the HKIAC on its policies and general management.

His practice largely focuses on cross-border disputes involving Greater China. Notably, he offers clients firsthand experience as a sitting arbitrator, with appointments to panels of many international institutions, including the HKIAC. Among his numerous professional honors, Yang recently received the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year Award from Asialaw.

Yang is among more than 90 lawyers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong who comprise the firm’s Greater China Practice. The team has recently earned numerous awards for exceptional international arbitration and dispute resolution work, including from Asian-mena Counsel and China Law & Practice. The group also advises Asian and international companies on their highest-stakes finance and corporate matters.
