China Business Law Journal has named Kieran Donovan, a partner in Latham & Watkins’ Hong Kong office, to its 2022 Rising Stars list. Donovan’s achievement places him on the Journal’s inaugural list of 20 up-and-coming lawyers from international firms.

Donovan earned recognition for his innovation and technical proficiency in complex, cross-border data privacy and cybersecurity matters. He regularly advises clients at the forefront of emerging technology and business innovation in Asia, with industries spanning internet, social media, technology, entertainment, financial services, health, travel, and many others.

“The rapid evolution of data privacy and acceleration of new technologies continue to have an impact on our daily lives,” Donovan said. “It’s a privilege to help clients successfully navigate these issues and realize extraordinary growth opportunities.”

Latham advises international companies, financial institutions, and investors that conduct business across China and the rest of Asia. In particular, the firm leverages its local marketplace knowledge and global platform to represent companies based in China and elsewhere in Asia in industry-leading, cross-border matters.
