IP Team Gets High Marks in “Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners”

Twelve partners and teams in California and Washington, D.C. were recognized in the 2012 edition of Intellectual Asset Management’s “Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.” The guide, published this year for the first time, is a “one-stop-shop guide listing best-in-class patent prosecution, licensing and litigation practitioners” based on their depth of expertise, market presence and level of work.

In California, IAM recognized Orange County partner Dean Dunlavey, Los Angeles partner Mark Flagel, and Silicon Valley partners Ron Shulman and Michael Ladra for their intellectual property litigation work and experience. Silicon Valley partners Judith Hasko, Charles Hoyng and Anthony Klein and San Diego partner John Wehrli were recognized for their licensing expertise. IAM notes the breadth of experience out of the firm’s California offices, adding that Latham is “traditionally famed for technology transactions, but has recently taken major strides in patent litigation.” IAM also calls the team “terrifically skilled in life sciences.”

In Washington, D.C., IAM recognized partners Max Grant, Matthew Moore, Larry Gotts and Bert Reiser. IAM noted that the team is “considered a truly formidable force, with steady nerves and tactical excellence in the most commercially valuable cases.”
