San Diego-based Casa Cornelia Law Center (CCLC) has honored Latham & Watkins with its 2016 La Mancha “Law Firm of the Year” award in recognition of the firm’s outstanding contributions to CCLC’s mission to providing legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations. Latham lawyers primarily based in the firm’s San Diego office have assisted Casa Cornelia’s clients for more than a decade, contributing 1,419 hours of pro bono service last year alone.
In addition, San Diego associates Bobbi-Jo Dobush, Samuel Duimovich and James Erselius received CCLC’s 2016 “Pro Bono Publico” award for their individual efforts. Casa Cornelia Law Center is a non-profit public interest law firm that provides pro bono legal services and educates the public regarding the impacts of immigration law and policy on the community. The “Law Firm of the Year” and “Pro Bono Publico” awards were presented at an October 13 ceremony held at University of San Diego’s Kroc Center for Peace and Justice.
