Book of Jargon®

Latham has published several editions of the Book of Jargon®, which are intended to assist the members of the financial community in learning (or re- learning) to "talk the talk" of banking, capital markets, project finance, master limited partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions. If you are a recent business or law school graduate, or perhaps a not-so recent graduate, these apps are for you.

Download the Global Anti-Bribery & Corruption Laws App

This app is an easily accessible guide to anti-bribery and corruption legislation in 13 major economies in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the US. It covers key topics of offences, territorial application, legislative framework, limitation, penalties and official guidance.

Global Merger Regimes™ Application

Latham & Watkins has developed a Global Merger Regimes™ Application (app) for the iPhone, iPad and iPod. The app was designed as a reference tool for in-house counsel and lawyers who practice in the M&A and antitrust and competition areas, putting the information required for a preliminary assessment of such issues available at the touch of a finger.

From Albania to Zambia, the app provides a database of merger regimes for more than 80 countries. This information is important in the M&A process, as transactions may require approval from competition authorities around the world. Such review may impact the feasibility of a particular transaction and often the timeline to closing.
