Latham advises Vietnam’s largest conglomerate in US$500 million exchangeable bond offering

Vingroup Joint Stock Company bonds listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

Vingroup Joint Stock Company, Vietnam’s largest listed conglomerate, has raised US$500 million in its first international bond offering. Latham & Watkins advised the company on the Regulation S offering of US$500 million 3.00% exchangeable bonds due 2026. The bonds are listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and are exchangeable into shares of Vinhomes Joint Stock Company, a real estate subsidiary of Vingroup Joint Stock Company.

Vingroup Joint Stock Company is one of the largest private conglomerates in Asia focusing on three main areas of technology, industrials and property services, and has a market capitalization value of around US$16 billion.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Vingroup Joint Stock Company Limited in the transaction with a deal team led by Singapore partner Sharon Lau and Hong Kong partner Posit Laohaphan, with Singapore counsel Monsiree Jirasarunya and Hong Kong counsel Derek Chua.  Hong Kong Associates Sirada Chayabunjonglerd and Carmen Yu also advised on the matter.
