Bay Area Team Advises Underwriters in Twilio's US$150 Million IPO

Silicon Valley "unicorn" becomes the first venture-backed tech company to go public in 2016.

San Francisco-based Twilio Inc., a leading cloud communications platform company, announced the pricing of its public offering of 10,000,000 shares of Class A common stock at a price of $15.00 per share. The shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on June 23, 2016 under the symbol “TWLO.” 

Latham & Watkins LLP represents the underwriters, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, in Twilio’s offering, with a corporate team led from the firm’s Silicon Valley office by partners Tad Freese and Christopher “Kit” Kaufman, with counsel Brian Paulson and associate Nicole Fritz.
