Firm Advises GTCR in Cision’s Cross-Border Acquisition of Gorkana Group

A Latham international corporate team assists private equity firm with expansion of PR and social software portfolio.

Chicago-based Cision, a leading provider of PR, social software and insight services and a portfolio company of leading private equity firm GTCR, has acquired Gorkana Group Limited, a top U.K.-based media intelligence and data insights provider, through its parent, Discovery Group Holdings Limited, as detailed in the press release below issued by Cision. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented GTCR in the transaction with a corporate team led by London partners David Walker and Tom Evans, Chicago partner Bradley Faris and New York partners Jennifer Perkins and Edward Sonnenschein, with London associates Huw Thomas, Douglas Abernethy, Linzi Mutter and Niall Quinn and Chicago associate Christopher Drewry.
