Latham Advises Great Hill Partners in Formation of $1.5 Billion Growth Buyout Fund

Investment Funds team advised Boston-based private equity firm on Great Hill Equity Partners VI, L.P. fundraise.

Great Hill Partners has announced the first and final closing of the firm’s sixth private equity fund, Great Hill Equity Partners VI, L.P., at its hard cap of $1.5 billion of limited partner commitments. The fund had a target of $1.25 billion, and the firm began fundraising in late September 2016.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Great Hill Partners in the transaction with an Investment Funds team led by New York corporate partner Andrea Schwartzman, with associates Erin Bergey and Christina Costa. Advice was provided on tax matters by Chicago partner Alan Van Dyke, with New York tax associate Shruti Hazra, and on benefits and compensation matters by Washington, D.C. partner Adam Kestenbaum.
