Two Leading Real Estate Finance Practitioners Join Latham & Watkins In London

Addition of Jeremy Trinder and Quentin Gwyer bolsters the firm’s Real Estate Practice in Europe.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Jeremy Trinder and Quentin Gwyer have joined the firm’s London office as a partners in the Finance Department. Highly regarded practitioners in their field, Trinder and Gwyer bring vast experience in complex real estate finance and real estate matters.

Their extensive expertise spanning a wide range of industries and asset classes further enhances Latham’s top-tier finance and capital markets practices in London. Trinder joins the firm from Dechert in London. He has over 15 years’ experience advising on a wide range of real estate finance matters, including representing lenders, borrowers, investors and servicers in relation to the origination, syndication and restructuring of commercial mortgage loans and loan-on-loans in the UK and Europe; advising on commercial mortgage-backed securities and residential mortgage-backed securities, warehousing of debt and other relates structured products; acting for buyers and sellers of residential and commercial mortgage debt, including NPLs and the sale of real estate divisions of regulated entities across Europe; and providing advice on the financing of commercial and residential developments.

Gwyer will join the firm from GE Capital Real Estate, where he was Executive Counsel for European Debt responsible for the structuring and origination of debt across Europe, pan-European debt capital markets, and all matters associated with real estate and real estate finance across Europe. Prior to joining GE Capital, he spent a number of years in private practice specializing in the origination and restructuring of real estate debt; the creation of joint ventures in relation to the acquisition and redevelopment of properties; the buying and selling of real estate and loan portfolios; and a variety of other corporate real estate matters.
