Latham & Watkins Advises Plaid in its Acquisition of Cognito

A multidisciplinary team advises the fintech solutions company in the transaction.

Plaid has announced that it has acquired Cognito, an identity verification and compliance (KYC, AML) platform that makes it faster, easier, and safer for people to verify their identity when signing up for financial services online.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Plaid in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Bay Area partner Saad Khanani, with Bay Area associates Donna Kim, Amanda Dillon,  and Kevin Schunk.
