State Bar Association Honors New York Partner for "Leadership in Promoting Diversity"

Bowen recognized for her “continuing successes in furthering the cause of diversity.”

Sharon Bowen, Co-Chair of Latham & Watkins' Diversity Committee, was awarded the Diversity Trailblazer Award by the New York State Bar Association for her "strong commitment to helping enhance diversity in the legal profession." In honoring Bowen, Co-Chairs of the State Bar’s Committee on Diversity recognized her “continuing successes in furthering the cause of diversity” and her work as “a tireless advocate for building and developing a pipeline for diverse talent at every level in the legal profession.” The State Bar’s Committee on Diversity recognized Bowen’s “leadership development, innovation and knowledge-sharing to enhance the status of minorities in her firm and the legal profession at large,” citing a range of innovative diversity initiatives at Latham & Watkins and her public service work in support of mentoring and networking programs, particularly in minority communities.
