Orange County

Latham’s Orange County office, one of the largest and most diverse law offices in the region, is home to many of California’s leading corporate, litigation, intellectual property, and environmental attorneys.

We are deeply embedded in the fabric of the region’s life sciences and technology industries, as well as Southern California’s dynamic real estate sector. We complement our local knowledge and experience with the resources and reach of Latham’s global platform, connecting local clients with opportunities around the world. Our corporate practice guides market-moving transactions locally and nationally that span the company life cycle, from early formation, to private and public capital raising, to mergers and acquisitions.

We support clients’ intellectual property with both strategic counseling and vigorous litigation. We also regularly represent clients in precedent-setting arbitrations, litigation, and trials, while our environmental practice works at the forefront of California law, representing clients in administrative proceedings, litigation, and enforcement. We leverage Latham’s deep expertise across a broad range of practice areas to meet the ever-expanding needs of our clients.

Giving Back

Latham is committed to giving back in each of the communities where we live and work. In Orange County, our pro bono causes include working with Community Legal Aid SoCal to decriminalize homelessness, working with The Ocean Cleanup to help deploy advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of trash, and advocating on behalf of survivors of domestic violence and abuse, as well as immigrants and asylum seekers.

Since opening in 1972, Latham’s Orange County office has developed strong ties to the Orange County business and civic communities. The firm supports a number of local organizations and causes. Latham continues to partner with two local law schools – the University of California, Irvine and Chapman University – to provide students learning opportunities on a variety of legal issues.

The Orange County office is consistently the leading contributor of pro bono hours to the Public Law Center, which has honored Latham as the “Large Law Firm of the Year” on numerous occasions.

The Orange County office also has a long history of providing family violence survivors a full complement of legal services to assist them in breaking the cycle of violence and starting their lives anew. Working with several local domestic violence shelters and referral organizations, Latham attorneys, paralegals and professional staff have provided pro bono support to hundreds of domestic violence victims in seeking restraining orders, resolving custody issues and/or immigration support. The office also sponsors school supply and holiday gift drives each year to benefit shelter residents.
