Profile Experience

Elizaveta Bacheyeva is counsel in the Moscow office of Latham & Watkins. She primarily advises clients in financing transactions such as syndicated lending, and project and real estate finance, as well as securitizations, financial restructurings, and public debt issuances. Ms. Bacheyeva has extensive experience representing both arrangers and borrowers in complex cross-border transactions and advising on different aspects of financial and bank regulation.

Ms. Bacheyeva’s representative experience includes advising:

  • Sberbank and VEB.RF in respect of a project finance transaction for  the development of “Korbalikha” Zn-Cu-Pb Mine construction and renovation of Rubtsovsk enrichment plant for Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company group
  • VTB in relation to project financing in connection with the reconstruction of Zainsk power plant located in Tatarstan, Russia
  • Gazprombank on a number of pre-payment facilities arranged for EU traders
  • Sberbank as lender and arranger in respect of a US$2 billion facility secured by shares of a holding company of a major Russian industrial group
  • Alfa-Bank and Otkritie in relation to a syndicated dual tranche term loan provided to Amsterdam Trade Bank
  • Gazprombank in connection with the acquisition financing provided to a major crude oil and oil product trader
  • Gazprombank as the major creditor in relation to Mechel’s debt restructuring
  • Gazprombank on the project financing in connection with the construction of a stock-breeding farm in Russia
  • Russian regional telecom company in connection with acquisition (and associated acquisition financing) of a major Russian telecom provider
  • Creditors’ committee in restructuring of US$480 million public debt of Potok8
  • Lender in relation to amendment and restatement of the term loan facility for a company in the fertiliser sector
  • Gazprombank and Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd as mandated lead arrangers in respect of a US$240 million secured acquisition financing provided to O1 Properties for the purposes of acquiring from Capital Group over 40,000 m2 of office space in Tsvetnoy Legend Business Center
  • VTB Capital, VTB, and Alfa-Bank as members of syndicate in respect of a secured facility provided to RESO-Leasing, a major Russian leasing company, for working capital purposes
  • Raiffeisen Bank in relation to a RUB5 billion mortgage securitization for Raiffeisen Bank Russia
  • Renaissance Capital in connection with securitization of consumer credits of Poidem! Bank
