Thomas Alcorn is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Finance Department.

Mr. Alcorn represents institutional lenders, equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in all types and phases of complex financing transactions. He regularly represents clients in connection with secured and unsecured asset-based loans, cash-flow loans, syndicated loans, and acquisition and recapitalization transactions. He also occasionally advises financial institutions in connection with litigation arising out of financing arrangements and other complex transactional matters.

Mr. Alcorn values public service and provides pro bono services to non-profits that assist children and disadvantaged members of the community, among others.

Mr. Alcorn received his JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was awarded the Law Alumni Award for graduating first in his class and was an editor of the Southern California Law Review. After graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ferdinand Fernandez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. 

Mr. Alcorn’s scholarly work has been published in The Michigan Journal of Environmental & Administrative Law and the peer-reviewed science journal Acta Crystallographica.
