Annelise Karreman is a finance associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Project Development & Finance Practice.

Ms. Karreman advises a variety of lenders, equity investors, sponsors, and developers with the development, financing, acquisition, and divestment of a variety of energy and infrastructure projects, with a focus in the renewable energy sector. Ms. Karreman currently serves as a member of the firm's Associates Committee.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Karreman worked in the projects practice of a major international law firm in Australia, representing lenders, sponsors, developers, contractors, and public authorities in relation to the development of a variety of energy, resources, and infrastructure projects.

Ms. Karreman’s experience includes advising:

  • The sponsor in connection with the tax equity financing of a portfolio of residential solar projects
  • Noteholders in connection with a private placement to fund the acquisition of a controlling interest in a portfolio of solar photovoltaic energy projects representing 307-MW of owned capacity
  • The sponsor in connection with a back-leveraged term loan and letter of credit facility for an entity owning a controlling interest in a 446-mile intrastate natural gas pipeline
  • AMP Capital as lender in the project financing of three data center facilities owned by Edgeconnex
  • The sponsor in connection with a liquidity facility ahead of the disposition of a 1,124-MW 3x1 combined cycle natural gas-fired electric generating unit
  • The sponsor in connection with construction/term loan, tax equity bridge loan, and letter of credit facilities to finance the construction and operation of a 112-MW DC/80 MW solar photovoltaic power plant
  • Second out lenders in connection with the financing of the construction of a 108.5-MW DC solar photovoltaic energy facility
  • Avenue Capital/Middle River Power in connection with numerous portfolio company private placements
  • Commercial bank lenders in connection with financing to fund the acquisition of an 80% non-controlling financial interest in a joint venture vehicle that owns a portfolio of projects comprising five operating wind power assets representing 812-MW of owned capacity
  • Commercial bank lenders in a construction financing of Tenaska’s interests in the Nobles 2 Wind Farm, a 250-MW onshore windfarm
  • The sponsor in connection with a letter of credit facility backed by a portfolio of 245.8-MW of wind, geothermal, and storage projects in the United States
  • The sponsor in connection with the development and financing of Australia's first waste-to-energy facility*
  • A variety of sponsors, contractors, and public authorities in relation to the development and financing of a range of public infrastructure projects in Australia, including transportation and social infrastructure projects procured using alliance and P3 contracting models*
