Anthemis Economou is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice. Ms. Economou advises on all aspects of EU and Greek competition law, including EU and cross-border merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, and antitrust compliance issues. She has experience on various business sectors, including manufacturing, energy, food and beverage, retail, chemicals, technology, and pharmaceuticals.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Economou worked as an associate at another global law firm in Brussels. During her traineeship at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission, she was involved in the review of proposed major transactions in the manufacturing, energy, and food and beverage sectors. Her previous work experience also includes advising on various aspects of Greek competition, regulatory, and corporate law.
