Brian O’Connell is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Mr. O’Connell is a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice. He advises clients on antitrust compliance and counseling, class action lawsuits, and criminal investigations, as well as in connection with obtaining clearances of mergers and acquisitions from the Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. 

During law school, Mr. O’Connell served as online executive editor for the Northwestern University Law Review and competed as a member of Northwestern’s Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team. As a member of Northwestern’s Criminal Defense – Death Penalty Clinic, Mr. O’Connell represented a number of federal death row inmates. He also served as a legal intern for the Public Safety Department of the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General.
