Chris Horton is a partner in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Mr. Horton has a broad range of experience advising on IPOs, secondary offerings, and M&A transactions by listed companies for over twenty years. He regularly advises investment banks, listed companies, and asset managers on the UK Listing Rules, Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules, the Prospectus Regulation, and the AIM Rules. 

Mr. Horton is regularly recommended by leading publications such as Chambers and The Legal 500 UK. Most recently he was recognized in The Lawyer Hot 100 2022.

  • Hedosophia on its €400 million SPAC IPO on Euronext Amsterdam
  • The joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners, and underwriters on Deliveroo’s initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange
  • The joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners, on the £116 million cash placing by S4 Capital plc, the digital advertising and marketing services company
  • Investec as the sole bookrunner on the £133.4 million placing by Dechra Pharmaceuticals plc, an international veterinary pharmaceuticals and related products business
  • The joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners on a £320 million cash-box placing by IWG (formerly known as Regus), the leading global operator of workspace brands
  • The sponsors and joint bookrunners on Kier Group’s £241 million capital raise 
  • The joint bookrunners on a £120 million placing by Polypipe Group plc, a leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems
  • UBS (as sponsor) and UBS, Jefferies, and Bank of America as joint bookrunners for Hays plc’s £200 million cashbox placing
  • The bookrunners on a £185 million placing by Assura plc
  • The banks on Aston Martin’s comprehensive financing package comprising a £125 million placing, £840 million equivalent of first lien notes, £259 million equivalent of new second lien notes, and a refinanced revolving credit facility of £87 million
