Iván Rabanillo is a partner in the Tax Department of Latham & Watkins' Madrid office. He advises Spanish multinational groups and international investors in Spanish and international tax aspects of sophisticated cross-border M&A, financing transactions, capital markets offerings, and restructuring transactions, dealing with cutting-edge tax structuring issues.

With more than 17 years of experience, Mr. Rabanillo regularly advises, among others, on the following areas:

  • The lenders in the €10 billion financing for Cellnex, Europe's leading independent operator of wireless telecommunications
  • Danish listed company Demant A/S in the acquisition of the audiology, electro-medicine and otolaryngology business of Audifon, a Spanish leading audiology group
  • The lenders in relation to the debt refinancing of Spanish olive oil giant Deoleo, a portfolio company of CVC
  • Enagás in its co-investment (alongside with Blackstone and GIC) to acquire US listed group Tallgrass for approximately US$1.5 billion
  • Värde Partners in the acquisition of an additional 49% stake of WiZink for €1.1 billion
  • The Carlyle Group in the:
    • Acquisition of a majority stake in Codorniú for €390 million
    • IPO of Applus Services, S.A. for €1.2 billion
  • Glovo in the raising of €115 million (Round C financing) and of €150 million (Round D financing)
  • The Initial Purchasers in a bond offering carried out byHaya Real Estate for €475 million
  • IFM Investors in the acquisition of OHL Concesiones for €2.8 billion
  • Global Infrastructure Partners in the:
    • Sale of its 24% stake in Saeta Yield to Brookfield AM
    • Acquisition of a 20% stake in Gas Natural for €3.8 billion
    • Sale of its 15% shareholding in CLH to Borealis Spain Parent B.V.
