Laurenz Bové is an associate in the London and Brussels offices of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Mr. Bové represents clients before the European Commission, national authorities in Europe and internationally, and in European courts, including the European Court of Justice.

He advises clients in high-profile and complex merger control cases globally, and helps clients navigate through the antitrust aspects of litigation, public investigations, and advisory matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Bové was an associate in the Brussels office of another top-tier global firm. He also spent six months on secondment at Amazon.com as an in-house counsel.

Mr. Bové’s experience includes advising:

  • A medical technologies company on the acquisition of a medical device manufacturer*
  • PayPal Inc. on its US$4 billion acquisition of Honey Science Corp.*
  • ABB on various transactions, including its acquisition of the industrial components business of another global conglomerate company valued at $2.6 billion*
  • Kemet Corporation on its US$1.8 billion acquisition by Yageo Corporation*
  • Brookfield on its US$550 million acquisition of Blackstone’s stake in the Los Ramones pipelines*
  • Sabre Corporation on its US$360 million acquisition of Farelogix Inc*
  • Armstrong World Industries, Inc. on the US$330 million sale of its EMEA and Pacific Rim businesses to Knauf International Gmbh*
  • Amazon on the European Commission’s investigation into alleged anticompetitive practices.*
  • ZeniMax Media Inc. in the investigation by the European Commission into alleged anticompetitive geo-blocking practices*
  • Xperi Inc. and Auro Technologies in a successful complaint before the European Commission against Dolby Laboratories Inc., prompting the latter to suspend restrictive policies*
  • ABB Ltd before the European Court of Justice in its appeal against the General Court’s Power Cable Cartel Judgment*
