Louis Rabinowitz is a counsel in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Mr. Rabinowitz’s practice focuses primarily on corporate finance transactions, where he has extensive experience in both debt and equity offerings in a variety of industries and countries throughout Asia. He also has significant experience representing issuers and underwriters in Japan, and previously worked in Latham & Watkins' Tokyo office.

Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Rabinowitz worked in the New York and Tokyo offices of another international law firm.

Mr. Rabinowitz’s recent experience includes representing:

  • The underwriters in the US$1 billion IPO of American depositary shares of Nio Inc., a pioneer in China’s premium electric vehicle market, on the New York Stock Exchange. The transaction was recognized as Deal of the Year by China Business Law Journal 2018
  • The underwriters in a Rule 144A/ Regulation S offering of US$300 million of 9.375% senior notes by NagaCorp Ltd.
  • The underwriters in a Regulation S offering of US$750 million and €1,450 million of senior notes by SoftBank Group Corp.
  • Tunghsu Group Co., Ltd. in Regulation S offerings of an aggregate of US$440 million of 7.0% guaranteed notes
  • The underwriters in a Rule 144A/ Regulation S offering of US$500 million of 5.5% senior notes by Azure Power Global Limited
  • ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited in a Rule 144A/ Regulation S offering of US$475 million of 6% senior secured notes
  • Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited in a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of US$650 million of 3.5% senior notes due 2020
  • The underwriters in a Regulation S offering of US$4.4 billion of senior notes by SoftBank Group Corp.
