Profile Experience

Noah Carr is a partner in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Tokyo office. Mr. Carr advises clients on acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions in the financial, technology, and telecommunications industries.

Mr. Carr has been named a Rising Star for Japan M&A by IFLR1000, and was included in Asian Legal Business' 2019 40 Under 40 list of 40 outstanding legal professionals under the age of 40. Prior to joining Latham, Mr. Carr worked at a leading international law firm in Tokyo and Hong Kong. He is admitted to the New York bar and registered in Japan as a Gaikokuho-Jimu-Bengoshi (Registered Foreign Lawyer, New York Law).

  • A Japanese corporation as lead investor in the micro-mobility spin-off from a leading Chinese internet business
  • A leading Japanese food and bakery products business in its acquisition of a US commercial baker and distributor*
  • A listed Japanese company in its US$1 billion minority investment in a leading South Korean online retailer*
  • A Singapore/Japan early stage investment fund in multiple early-stage investments in the US and Asia
