Olivia Lai is an associate in the Beijing office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Lai focuses on capital markets transactions, including US and Hong Kong registered initial public offerings, public company convertible bonds, and debt offerings pursuant to Regulation S. She is also experienced in private equity investment, corporate governance, securities regulation, and general corporate matters.

  • Kuaishou Technology, a leading content community and social platform globally, on its US$5.4 billion initial public offering and listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
  • The underwriters on the US$1.7 billion initial public offering of American depositary shares on the New York Stock Exchange of XPeng inc., a leading smart electric vehicle company in China 
  • The underwriters on the US$33 million initial public offering of American depositary shares on the NASDAQ of Quhuo Limited, the largest workforce operational solution platform in China
  • The underwriters on the US$130 million initial public offering of American depositary shares on the New York Stock Exchange of Phoenix Tree Holdings Limited (Danke, one of the largest co-living platforms in China)
  • The underwriters on the issuance of US$345 million 1% convertible senior notes due 2026, including a capped call transaction, by Qudian, a leading provider of online small consumer credit in China
  • Standard Chartered Bank, CICC, Citigroup, and Industrial Bank as underwriters on the offering of US$350 million 4.75% Guaranteed Bonds due 2021 by Sichuan Transportation Investment Group Corporation Limited
  • Beijing Environment Sanitation Engineering Group on its offering of US$225 million 5.3% Guaranteed Bonds due 2021
  • Changde Urban Construction and Investment Group on its offering of US$200 million 5.8% Bonds due 2022
