Robert Buday is Global Co-Chair of Latham & Watkins’ Real Estate Practice and a member of the firm’s Associates Committee. Mr. Buday has extensive experience in a range of complex real estate transactions and routinely represents clients in all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, joint ventures, and financings involving all property types. His practice includes asset and entity-level transactions, transfers, and recapitalizations of real estate operating companies and real estate M&A transactions. He has significant experience representing clients in structuring, negotiating, and forming joint ventures, partnerships, and other investment vehicles.
Mr. Buday has also represented foreign and domestic investors in connection with various infrastructure investments throughout the US. He has extensive real estate restructuring experience including both bankruptcy and out-of-court restructurings.
His clients consist of publicly traded and privately held domestic and foreign real estate operating companies, developers, REITs, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors.
